Annealing
Annealing is a process used to change the properties of materials, most commonly metals. It involves heating the
material to a specific temperature and then cooling it down in a controlled way. This process alters the internal
structure of the material, making it softer and more workable
crystalline structure through heat treatment processes.
There are a few reasons why annealing is done.
Softening a material.
Improving machinability.
Stress relief.
